SAFE SLEEP

In Kentucky, the infant mortality rate is almost double the national average. The second leading cause of infant death is sudden and unexpected infant death (SUID).  Sudden unexpected infant deaths often happen during sleep or in the baby’s sleep area.

The Grayson County Health Academy is not only committed to educating parents and caregivers about safe sleep for their little one, we also offer a program called Cribs for Kids that connects income eligible families with a Cribette or Pack and Play to insure their infant has a safe sleep area.
